New London — Four people were temporarily displaced after an attic fire at about 11 a.m. Saturday in an apartment building at 93 State Pier Road.

There were no injuries. Firefighters had extinguished the fire and left the scene by noon, according to the New London Fire Department.

The building contains multiple apartments, but they are separated by fire walls, the fire department said. The fire was contained to the attic of Building F.

The Red Cross was at the scene to help the four living in one apartment, according to the fire department.
