I-95 ramp in Groton reopens after temporary closure due to debris on roadway

Groton – The on-ramp to Interstate 95 North from Long Hill Road South closed Tuesday night due to a bridge inspection prompted by reports of debris in the roadway under the highway overpass, Groton Town police said Tuesday night.

Police announced just before midnight that the ramp had reopened.

The state Department of Transportation was at the scene late Tuesday conducting the bridge inspection to ensure the debris did not come from the bridge structure itself, police said.
