Mohegan _ State Police arrested an Old Saybrook man early Saturday morning after they say he stole $25,000 of poker chips from the Sky Casino at Mohegan Sun.

Zachary M. Lewin, 26, of 37 Attawanhood Trail, was charged with third-degree larceny. He was released on a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwich Superior Court on Oct. 24.

Police said Lewin reached over a plastic barrier on a gaming table and stole the chips about 2:30 a.m. State police apprehended him when he tried to cash in the chips.
