Niantic Native To Premiere Documentary at Worcester's Rock and Shock, 10/19

The World Premiere of Fantasm, presented by Rock and Shock and Outside the Cinema.

Horror convention documentary Fantasm, directed by Niantic native Kyle Kuchta, will have its world premiere at Rock and Shock in Worcester, MA on Saturday, October 19 at 12:30pm. The screening is presented by cult film webcast Outside the Cinema as part of the Rock and Shock film festival.

Fantasm explores the bonds formed by the close-knit community of fans who attend horror conventions, with insight from such popular actors and filmmakers as Tom Atkins (Escape from New York), Heather Langenkamp (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Lloyd Kaufman (The Toxic Avenger), Joe Lynch (Wrong Turn 2) and more.

In addition to being one of the six conventions at which Fantasm was filmed, Rock and Shock helped to influence the film."Rock and Shock was the first convention I went to as a kid," says director Kyle Kuchta. "And those experiences were the inspiration behind Fantasm. To be able to premiere the film there is an absolute honor."

Outside the Cinema is a weekly Webcast/Podcast that specializes in discussion and reviews of Cult films from the weird and wonderful edges of film making. With over 5.5 Million episodes downloaded in since the shows inception in 2008 and listeners on 6 Continents OTC truly has a global reach to fans of Genre films. Kuchta will in attendance to introduce the film, and he'll be at the Outside the Cinema booth at Rock and Shock all weekend. The 10th annual Rock and Shock horror convention features such distinguished guests as Kevin Smith, Robert Englund, Robert Patrick, Michael Rooker, Gunnar Hansen, Eric Roberts and more.

Fantasm will also be screening at Philip H. Anselmo's Housecore Horror Film Festival in Austin, TX on October 25.
