    East Lyme beats Waterford 34-13

    East Lyme's Ben Keating, (20), at left, looks to grab a fumbled handoff by Waterford quarterback Seth Hoagland. Keating returned the fumble 48 yards for a touchdown that gave East Lyme a 12-0 lead en route to a 34-13 win.

    East Lyme – East Lyme returned a pair of early fumbles for touchdowns to break the game open in the first half and the Vikings went on to defeat Waterford 34-13 in their annual Thanksgiving Day game.

    After Ben Keating went 48 yards with a fumble recovery for a TD with 19 seconds left in the first quarter to make it 14-0, Zane Smallidge went 77 yards with a fumble just 13 seconds into the second quartedr to make it 20-0.

    Eric Stirtan rushed for three touchdowns for the Vikings while Waterford's lone score came in the third quarter on Zach Hoagland's 5-yard touchdown pass to Donny Craig.
