Norwich - Interstate 395 has reopened in both directions following the crash of a motor vehicle that state police said went from the northbound side of the highway into the southbound side. 

The crash, near the onramp at Exit 84 southbound, was first reported shortly before 1 p.m. as a rollover. Life Star helicopter landed in the area and the highway was closed to accommodate emergency responders.

State police have yet to provide any details of the crash but said troopers remained at the scene at 3 p.m. as part of their investigation.

The state Department of Transportation reported the highway reopened at 2:53 p.m.
