Stonington police arrest high school student after alleged assault

Stonington — Police arrested a 15-year-old male Stonington High School student Wednesday morning after they say he assaulted another male student in the school.
The boy was charged with third-degree assault and breach of peace. The victim was brought to Westerly Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and released after the 10:51 a.m. incident, police said. Police said they are investigating what led to the assault. Police did not release the names of the students because they are juveniles.
