New London —Police arrested a 28-year-old local man this afternoon after shots were fired in the area of 25 Wightman St. around 12:15 p.m. No one was injured.

Anthony Teague of 40 Willets Ave., Apt. 1, was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, illegal discharge of a firearm, first-degree reckless endangerment and breach of peace. He was held on a $175,000 bond and is slated to appear today in New London Superior Court. No other details were available.
