A vigil for an unsolved murder

Kalia Griffin, left, is comforted by her aunt, Darlene Hamlin, right, mother of Anthony Hamlin, as she becomes emotional while reading a few words during a gathering of family and friends for a vigil at the Parade Plaza in downtown New London Saturday.
The vigil was held to call attention to Anthony Hamlin's homicide case. Hamlin, 40, was found in a field off Shewville Road in Ledyard on Jan. 28, 2006. No arrests have been made, and the state has a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for Hamlin's death.
