    A fight to the finish

This should be an interesting final week of the regular season in the American Athletic Conference.

There's still a possibility of a five-way tie for first place. Wouldn't that be great?

Louisville and Cincinnati, both 13-3 in the AAC, share first place. SMU (12-4) is third while UConn and Memphis, both 11-5, are tied for fourth.

    Here's each team's remaining schedule:

    Louisville -- at SMU, UConn

    Cincinnati -- Memphis, at Rutgers

    SMU -- Louisville, at Memphis

    UConn -- Rutgers, at Louisville

    Memphis -- at Cincinnati, SMU

Odds favor UConn landing in the No. 4 vs. No. 5 seed game in next week's AAC tournament in Memphis.

Since SMU owns the tiebreaker over UConn by virtue of its two-game sweep, the Huskies will likely face Memphis.

At least that's the best guess right now.

The AAC continues to flex its muscles, putting five teams in the Associated Press Top 25 poll.

UConn returned to the top 25, checking in at No. 19. Louisville (11th), Cincinnati (15th), SMU (18th) and Memphis (20th) are the other ranked teams.

Senior Shabazz Napier was named the AAC player of the week for the fifth time this season. He averaged 17.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.0 steals in wins over Cincinnati and South Florida.

UConn hosts Rutgers on Wednesday on Senior Night in Storrs.
