UPDATED: Power restored to 900 New London customers

New London – Power has been restored to more than 900 Connecticut Light & Power customers on and around Montauk Avenue who lost power earlier Saturday due to an issue with an electrical wire, according to the utility company.

Customers lost power at around 3 p.m., said CL&P spokesman Tricia Modifica. CL&P crews were on site fixing the faulty equipment. As of 5 p.m., CL&P said there were no outages in its coverage area.

Lawrence + Memorial Hospital was not affected, Modifica said.
