Chyung murder trial delayed

The murder trial of Chihan Eric Chyung's has been delayed until Wednesday because three jurors dropped out prior to the beginning of evidence this morning.

Family members and friends of victim Paige Anne Bennett and Chyung had assembled in New London Superior Court this morning for the first day of Chyung's trial. The 50-year-old Norwalk resident is accused of intentionally shooting Bennett, to whom he had been married for just three weeks, on June 2, 2009.

Judge Barbara Bailey Jongbloed dismissed the remaining jurors for the day. The attorneys will select three additional people tomorrow to serve as alternates and the trial will get underway on Wednesday.
