Panel on book publishing at Lyme library
Lyme — Jan L. Kardys and Jeanne E. Rogers will present a program for new writers, published authors, and anyone interested in the publishing industry at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Lyme Public Library. They will share their years of experience on topics, including developing a concept, writing a manuscript, editing, finding a literary agent, negotiating a publishing agreement, permissions, royalties, special sales, subsidiary rights and marketing, and using the most cutting-edge technologies and social media.
Jan L. Kardys’ book publishing career includes executive positions at major book publishers. Jeanne E. Rogers is the Author of “The Sword of Demelza,” a Writer’s Digest award-winning self-published middle grade fantasy. She will share her experience with self-publishing via CreateSpace, both in book and eBook format.
