H.S. lacrosse roundup: Ledyard boys end Bears' 28-game ECC Small win streak

Ledyard - Nick LoBianco had two goals and three assists and Ian Foster added two goals and an assist Tuesday in Ledyard High School's 9-5 win over Stonington in an Eastern Connecticut Conference Small Division boys' lacrosse matchup.

Adam Hildebrandt had two goals and Alex Powell, Nick Lauer and Jake Christensen each added one for Ledyard (5-2, 4-0).

Tyler Grills scored three goals, while Zach Poirier had two goals and an assist and Will Iorio had one goal and one assist for Stonington (4-4, 3-1), which had a 28-game winning streak snapped in the ECC Small.

In other games:

• Nic Page had four goals and Eric Aarsand scored three as East Lyme beat Fitch 13-6 in the ECC Large Division. Mark Wojcik scored twice, Zane Smallidge had two assists and Anderson Aarsand (9) and Ryan Janovic combined for 10 saves for East Lyme (6-1, 4-0).

Grayson Reuling had three goals and Andrew Singer had two assists for Fitch (2-5, 2-2).

• Nick Kane had five goals in St. Bernard's 7-2 victory over Montville in the ECC Small Division. Jason Bliven and Jack Feeley added goals for St. Bernard (1-6, 1-3) and Tim Bouchard had a pair of assists, while Jack Satti made 10 saves in goal. Tyler Price and Kyle Marsh each scored a goal for Montville (0-6, 0-4).


• Shannon Amarello scored four goals and Flora Klise added three goals and an assist, leading St. Bernard past Montville 10-6 in the ECC Small. Kara Bassett, Brianne Hoffa and Nancy Kuhn also scored for the Saints (4-3, 2-3). Katherine Nomin had two goals and two assists while Gabby Ioconiella scored two goals and Emily Kewer and Taylor Montminy each had one for Montville (2-5, 1-4).

• Mary Grace Wyatt scored three goals while Mckenzie Griffith-Potter, Megan Sturm and Charley Dimmock each had two to power Waterford past Wheeler, 17-8, in the ECC Small Division. Julia Peay had a goal and two assists for the Lancers (5-2, 4-1).

Jess Muller had five goals and Zoe Robert had two for the Lions (0-6, 0-5).
