Stonington — A Mystic man died Saturday afternoon in a motorcycle accident on the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 that shut down the highway by Exit 90 for nearly four hours, according to state police.

At approximately 5:11 p.m., Douglas P. Johnson, 60, of 48 Cindy Lane, who was driving a 1982 Suziki, struck the metal guard rail just before the Route 27 overpass before striking wire rope guide wires, according to a state police report.
