Bomb threat forces Olive Garden evacuation
Waterford — Police searched the Olive Garden restaurant on Route 85 at around 6 p.m. tonight after it received two bomb threats over the phone, according to a police department press release.
Police evacuated and searched the restaurant with the aid of a state police dog that can detect explosives, according to the release. Police did not find any suspicious packages or items and the restaurant re-opened at about 7 p.m.
Police at this time are not releasing any details about the threats, which were received within a short time frame and were similar, according to the release. The case is under investigation.
