East Lyme police charged a 62-year-old Bozrah man Friday with sexually assaulting several children over the past 10 years.

Frank McAlpine of 127 Stockhouse Road, Bozrah, is charged with three counts of first-degree sexual assault, two counts of second-degree sexual assault, four counts of fourth-degree sexual assault and four counts of risk of injury to a minor.

Police said they obtained three warrants charging McAlpine following an investigation by East Lyme police and state police from Troop K in Colchester.

McAlpine is being held in lieu of $300,000 and is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in New London Superior Court.
