CGA to salute U.S. Army on its 239th birthday
The U.S. Coast Guard Academy cadets and staff are commemorating the 239th birthday of the U.S. Army on June 13 by raising the Army flag during morning colors at 8 a.m.
The event will take place at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy campus and will include the playing of the official Army song and a brief ceremony in the Henriques Room in Hamilton Hall to recognize the nation's oldest military service and the relationship between the U.S. Army and the U.S. Coast Guard. Current and former members of the U.S. Army are encouraged to attend.
