Six charged in Norwich fight
Norwich — City police charged six people and expect more arrests in connection with a large fight on Thursday that left one person suffering from knife wounds.
Four women ages 19 to 21 and two unnamed juveniles were charged with second-degree breach of peace following the fight outside the Oakwood Knoll apartment complex. Police were called to the area at about 4 p.m. for reports of a large disturbance.
At the scene, police said they found one victim suffering from non-life-threatening lacerations caused by a knife. The victim was taken by ambulance to The William W. Backus Hospital. His condition is unknown.
Charged in connection with the fight were Katriona Belizaire, 20; Daniadine Forvilus, 19; Katianna Chery, 21; and Videline Alexis, 19, all of Norwich. All were released on non-surety bonds and due to appear June 26 in Norwich Superior Court.
