New London - Four people were taken to the hospital Friday following a two-car crash at the intersection of Broad and Colman streets.

The crash occurred shortly before 3:15 p.m. The southbound side of Broad Street was still closed as police and fire crews awaited wreckers.

Patients, all complaining of neck and back injuries, were taken to L + M Hospital by ambulances from New London and Waterford.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
