Police charge New London woman in stabbing
New London — Police arrested an 18-year-old New London woman Wednesday for allegedly stabbing a relative in the stomach.
Nicole Rivera is charged with second-degree assault and disorderly conduct in connection with the incident. She was held in lieu of a $50,000 bond pending an appearance in New London Superior Court.
Police were first alerted to the stabbing through a 911 call at 9:49 a.m. The caller reported a man was stabbed at 3 Colver St., which is listed as Rivera’s home address. Police found the unidentified victim suffering from a stab wound to the stomach. The victim was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for treatment the injury that was not life threatening.
Police said they located Rivera at 113 Boulder Drive in New London.
