Montville - State and town police are investigating an accident that occurred at about 11:30 a.m. Saturday on Route 163 and resulted in serious injuries to a motorcyclist.

Police said James Ferrante, 45, of Willimantic was injured when his motorcycle crashed into a car being driving by Jennifer Lambert, 34, of Montville. Lambert was not injured.

No further information was available.
