Getting their feet wet for Project O in Groton

Participants in the Project Oceanology Summer Marine Studies Program disembark Monday from a skiff driven by Project O Senior Instructor Brae Rafferty to survey the shellfish population just below the intertidal line of the Poquonnock River off Bluff Point State Park in Groton. Every summer participants in the program survey the river for the town shellfish commission.
