Norwich — A convicted felon currently on probation was arrested Friday afternoon following a motor vehicle stop for carrying a gun.

Convicted felons are prohibited from possessing any firearms.

Wilfredo Rodriguez-Claudio, 22, of 25 Broadway, Apt. 606, was charged with weapons in a motor vehicle, criminal possession of a firearm and driving with a suspended registration.

Rodriguez-Claudio was held in lieu of a $25,000 bond pending his arraignment on July 31 in Norwich Superior Court.
