UCFS receives early detection grant

United Community and Family Services will provide early detection services, thanks to a $65,000 grant from Susan G. Komen Connecticut. As a first-time grantee, UCFS will develop and implement a comprehensive Breast Health Patient Navigation project. UCFS will provide patient navigation and will educate women about mammograms, making appointments, and alleviating barriers to accessing care. UCFS will work to decrease the incidence of late-stage diagnoses of breast cancer in Norwich.
