The editorial, "James Brady's legacy," (Aug. 6), states the newspaper is satisfied with Connecticut's gun laws, approved by diminishing our 2nd Amendment rights and bowing to a mentally defective liberal audience.

If this program is so effective, why not a nice summer's night ride or walk into New Haven or Hartford and explain it to them?

Just maybe, when the powers that be lower the boom on these wonderful law-abiding folks, then we can discuss the 2nd Amendment in a different light.
