UConn agrees to series with Arizona, Ohio State
UConn has agreed to a home-and-home men's basketball series with non-conference powers Ohio State and Arizona.
The school annnounced the news today.
The Huskies will host Ohio State during the 2015-16 season and visit Columbus in 2016-17.
They will play Arizona in Tuscon during the 2017-18 season and serve as host in 2018-19. Both games will tentatively be played in December.
UConn owns a 2-3 overall record versus Ohio State, last meeting in the 1999 NCAA national semifinals in St. Petersburg, Fla., and winning 64-58. The Huskies went on to shock Duke for the program's first national title.
The Huskies are undefeated against Arizona, going 5-0. They won the last meeting, 65-63, in the 2011 NCAA West Regional Championship in Anaheim, Calif. They reached the national championship game, beating Butler in Houston.
