Waterford eliminated from Babe Ruth 15 World Series

Longview, Wash. — Waterford finished up its stay at the Babe Ruth Baseball 15-year-old World Series with a 6-2 loss to Puget Sound (Wash.) Monday.
Waterford, which ended pool play at 1-3, finished last in the National Division. The team entered Monday’s action with a slim chance at advancing past pool play but were eliminated from contention when Lumber River (N.C.) beat Broomall/Newtown (Pa.) 3-1 in the first game.
