Police, fire union endorses Riley in 46th House District

Norwich - The Connecticut Police & Fire Union Public Safety professionals have endorsed Emmett Riley for re-election in the 46th House of Representatives district.

“It is the belief of the association that Mr. Riley is the best candidate to consider the health and safety of Connecticut police and professional firefighters in our region,” the endorsement announcement said.

The Connecticut Police & Fire Union is affiliated IUPA/IAFF – AFL-CIO.

“I am thankful and humbled by the Connecticut Police and Fire Union Membership for their endorsement, Riley said in a press release. “The men and women who serve as police, fire, EMS personnel and first responders risk their lives on a daily basis to keep our community and families safe. I will continue to fight to ensure the membership has all of the most advanced state-of-the-art tools available to rescue endangered people.”

Riley is running for his second term against Republican challenger Rob Dempsky in the district that covers the southern and urban sections of Norwich.
