Missing Fairfield man found dead in New London
New London — City police said a missing man from Fairfield was found dead early this evening inside his vehicle in the Clarion Inn parking lot.
Fairfield police had contacted city police today regarding a missing Fairfield resident who could be near the hotel on North Frontage Road. A vehicle-tracking system had shown that a vehicle belonging to the missing man was in that vicinity.
Officers arrived at the scene at 6:43 p.m. and found an unresponsive man inside the vehicle. Medical personnel at the scene pronounced him dead.
The incident remains under investigation and Fairfield police are notifying next of kin.
The New London Detective Division and Office of the State’s Medical Examiner are assisting with the investigation.
