Make A Difference: Martin House

Who: Michael is a 51-year-old single man who has lived at Martin House for the past year and a half. After working for 22 years, he assumed the role of caretaker for his ailing mother. When she needed nursing home care, Michael moved to Martin House. Chronic medical problems have made employment difficult. Despite that, Michael works at Mohegan Sun 15 hours per week. His car broke down and he now walks to and from work in any kind of weather. Michael needs sturdy shoes or boots, a hooded winter coat, and any outer wear to help him brave the upcoming winter.
