New London to host free light bulb swap for residents

New London — The city will host a free light bulb swap day for residents on April 9 and hand out up to five free energy-efficient LED bulbs in exchange for incandescent bulbs in any condition.  

The event will be held between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the New London Senior Center, 120 Broad St.

Only New London residents with identification are eligible.

Additional LEDs and lighting products will be available for purchase at a discounted rate.

Energy experts from Eversource will be on hand to answer questions and provide people with information on how they can save money and energy at home, including information on the popular in-home service Home Energy Solutions.
