Car fire briefly closes part of I-95 in East Lyme
East Lyme — State police and two local fire departments responded to a car fire on the southbound side of Interstate-95 before Exit 72 on Tuesday evening.
The southbound side of the highway was closed for about 20 minutes, but one lane had re-opened as of 9 p.m. No injuries were reported.
State police and crews from the Flanders Fire Department and Niantic Fire Department were at the scene as of 9 p.m. Tuesday.
