Tired of two parties? Try going Green
It has become commonplace for Congress and the president to have national disapproval ratings well above 50 percent. We are also seeing less satisfaction within each party, which was emphasized by the sharp divide between Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton supporters within the Democratic primary, and the plethora of candidates vying for the spotlight within the Republican primary.
When something isn't working, why not try something new? The Waterford Green Party has been working tirelessly to engage with the community and hear from the people on the issues that are most important to them. I ask that you consider giving a new party the chance to represent you. Your vote in 2017 can be an investment in growing a new party of the people, and together I hope that we can work to bring back representation to government.
We strongly encourage anyone wanting to get involved or give back to their community to run for office. The Waterford Greens are always here to help you learn how to run, regardless of your affiliation. Our nominating convention is at 3 p.m. on June 17, Waterford Public Library, and we ask that anyone wishing to run for town office as a Green get in touch with us as soon as possible at 860-912-7624.
Together, let's make history!
