Murder on the Orient Express

If you’ve missed good, old-fashioned, star-studded, entertaining-but-not-dark movie mysteries, good news: “Murder on the Orient Express” is all that. It’s flecked with wry humor, and Kenneth Branagh, who also plays outrageously mustachioed detective Hercule Poirot, directs it with breezy confidence and flair. Johnny Depp plays a thuggish figure who is murdered onboard a glamorous 1920s train, and everyone onboard becomes a suspect. Is it Michelle Pfeiffer? Judi Dench? Willem Dafoe? Penelope Cruz? Bring on the intrigue!
