'Tis the season to forgive one another

When someone does wrong to us, I hear so many people say afterwards, "Well, they never said they were sorry."

But when the other person does apologize, the wronged individual says, "Well, they weren't sincere!"

People can't have it both ways. Either you want an apology or you don't! If a person apologized and they were smiling or smirking, that would be insincere.

The Bible is very clear about forgiveness, and how we will be forgiven as much as we forgive others. And that doesn't mean we forgive some. We forgive everyone. I know when my life on Earth is over and I face God, I sure want to be forgiven for things I have done wrong, so I forgive everyone who has wronged me!

We are between Thanksgiving and Christmas, a time for forgiveness and putting things to rest, peace on Earth and good will to man. It's never too late to forgive, and how great would it actually be to lay all our hatred down and walk with a lighter load knowing we are doing the right thing in God's eyes.

I pray for every one of you. I know forgiveness can be a hard thing to accomplish. It's much easier for people to hate others then to say, "I love you."

Shouldn't it be the other way around?
