Do what's right, don't tolerate Trump

Our elected officials in Washington D.C. have a responsibility to challenge our president for his lack of integrity and moral leadership. Trump's administration lacks empathy, decency and is insensitive to many of our citizens, especially those of immigrant descent. His sophomoric rhetoric creates divisiveness in our country and brings out the worst in its citizens. Where is the basic civility and decorum expected of a president; who should be a role model for our children?

Are we supposed to look away and tolerate this type of inappropriate behavior in the White House? It’s time for our elected leaders and citizens to say, enough is enough, and demand more of our president and his administration. We need to stand up for what is right and just, making sure all people are treated with dignity and respect. As Martin Luther King stated, “The time is always right to do what is right.”

    The time is now.
