Cobb reinstated to the UConn men's basketball team

UConn announced on Thursday that junior forward Eric Cobb has been reinstated to the men's basketball team.

Cobb was suspended indefinitely after engaging in a heated verbal exchange with coach Kevin Ollie during a game against East Carolina on Jan. 6 at the XL Center in Hartford. He sat out the last nine games.

A junior college transfer in his first season in Storrs, Cobb was spotted working out in Gampel Pavilion prior to Wednesday's game against South Florida.

The 6-foot-9, 280-pound Cobb will add depth, muscle and experience to a young frontcourt. Before his suspenions, he averaged 2.1 points and 3.2 rebounds in a limited role in 11 appearances for the Huskies, who visit No. 22 Wichita State on Saturday.
