The Day sponsors forum on navigating information on social media

New London — Journalists from The Day will share tips on how to navigate the deluge of news and information on social media, how to check facts and verify sources on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Public Library of New London. The journalists will discuss so-called "fake news" and the difference between news and opinion.

They will also discuss what local newsrooms are doing to build trust with the communities they serve. The Day will introduce a project that hopes to make its newsroom more accessible and transparent.

The library is located at 63 Huntington St.
