Three Asian restaurants in the region owned by the husband-and-wife team of Ricky and Tai Au reopened Monday after being closed for a week for renovations, Tai Au said.

Back in business are Thai Sawasdee, in the Groton Shopping Center on Long Hill Road; The Spice Club on Main Street in Niantic; and Pink Basil in Olde Mistick Village.

The Aus plan to open a fourth restaurant in downtown Mystic this June, Tai Au said.

Maintenance of kitchen equipment and other improvements took place during the renovations, she said.

Patrons had inquired about the fate of the restaurants after the Aus posted notice that they were temporarily closed.
