Norwich man charged in January stabbing incident

Norwich – A Franklin Street man was arrested Sunday on assault and other charges in connection with a Jan. 28 stabbing on Franklin Street.

Keith Robinson, 22, of 16 Franklin St. was charged at 5:30 Sunday morning with first-degree assault, first-degree threatening and three counts of second-degree failure to appear in court. He was held on a $150,000 bond and was arraigned in Norwich Superior Court Monday.

Lt. John Perry said police were dispatched to 91 Franklin St. on Jan. 28 for a report of a fight involving a knife. The adult male victim suffered stab wounds and was taken to The William W. Backus Hospital. Perry had no information on the extent of his injuries. Perry said the victim knew Robinson and the fight involved a “neighborhood dispute.”
