Garde to host encore screening of "Little Pink House"

The Garde Arts Center's Sunday screening of the movie adaptation of "Little Pink House," about the eminent domain battle in New London, was sold out, which left a lot of people wanting — but unable — to see the film.

The theater received lots of phone call, texts, emails and messages from folks asking for another screening.

So the Garde has responded: it will be showing "Little Pink House" again, at 7:30 p.m. May 5. Tickets are general admission and on sale now. They are $12. Visit gardearts.org or call (860) 444-7373.

In the feature film, based on Jeff Benedict's book, Catherine Keener ("Get Out," "Being John Malkovich") plays Susette Kelo, who fought efforts to take away her home through eminent domain. She took that effort all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court in 2005.

Courtney Balaker directed the movie, which also stars Jeanne Tripplehorn ("Big Love," "Basic Instinct").
