NAME CHANGE

POP Weight Loss of Old Saybrook and Glastonbury has changed its name to Sea Slim. Sea Slim rolled out branded programs in 2018, signifying the company’s commitment to reaching a broader audience. Both programs include a detailed guide written by Sea Slim owners Donna Nucci, RN, MS, and Kerry Potts, RN, MS. Charter Oak Federal Credit Union awarded $18,850 to 10 local non-profits as part of its quarterly giving grants disbursement. Grant recipients included Always Home, Inc.; Cutler Middle School PTO; Groton Parks Foundation, Inc.; High Hopes Therapeutic Riding Inc.; Madonna Place, Inc.; Striving Towards Empowered Personal Success; Sails Up 4 Cancer; Salt Marsh Opera Company, Inc.; Southeastern Connecticut Enterprise Region; and the Children’s Museum of Southeastern Connecticut. The credit union accepts grant requests on a quarterly basis. The next deadline is July 1. 

United Community and Family Services has been awarded a $14,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Eastern CT to support the Access to Care program, which provides insurance enrollment assistance and linkages to health and human services for member of our community.
