Truck snaps pole in Ledyard; portion of Route 117 closed

Ledyard — Police have closed state Route 117 near Reservoir View because a truck snapped a utility pole there, bringing wires down with it.

Police asked motorists to seek alternate routes. It wasn't yet clear how long the road might be closed or whether there were injuries in the crash.
