New London police investigate stabbings reported Friday

New London — City police are investigating a report of two individuals being stabbed Friday night.

Police were dispatched to the area of Williams and Chappell streets about 10:35 p.m. Friday for a report of a physical altercation in progress. While officers were responding, the New London Emergency Communications Center received information that two individuals had been stabbed.

Both victims were transported to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening. The victims are both male, ages 18 and 19, according to police.
