Deadpool 2

This is the funniest movie of the year. Sure, it’s a sardonic take on superhero flicks, but the jokes don’t discriminate; they hit any target they can. It feels as though you’re sitting in a room with a bunch of quick-witted comics riffing, and that’s a pleasure. Ryan Reynolds makes for a perfect Deadpool, considering the snap with which he delivers snarky one-liners. Even the fight scenes here have clever and inspired aspects to them so that they are not your average onslaught of punches and car crashes. I can’t say how this sequel compares to the original “Deadpool” since I haven’t seen it yet — but I plan to see it very, very soon.
