Have you been inconvenienced from a State of Connecticut milling or paving job recently? It’s happening across the state. One such job is Route 66 in Marlborough. Citizens are stuck in traffic, having to find alternate routes, unable to maintain their routines. The horror!

Now let’s switch sides. Those employees are just trying to do their job. They are standing on 280-degree asphalt in the blazing sun for 13 hours a day. They are not out there to inconvenience anyone. Citizens complain the roads are horrible but when they are disrupted for three weeks a year to improve them they become animals.

You animals are belittling, using obscene gestures and names, flipping the middle finger, blasting horns at these workers. A young girl flagging traffic was swerved at by a contractor van and almost hit. Drivers hit cones on purpose so they become airborne, flying towards employees. Drivers are disregarding laws by driving through work zones and endangering everyone. If you think being disrupted for 15 minutes of your day gives you the right to act this outrageous, take those minutes and think how you would feel if the person you are endangering was your loved one! Think before you act!
