Gubernatorial debate set for the Garde
New London — Gubernatorial candidates Bob Stefanowski and Ned Lamont will debate at the Garde Arts Center, 325 State St., at 7 p.m. Sept. 12 in an event sponsored by The Day and WTNH News 8. It will be the first face-to-face meeting of Lamont, a Democrat, and Stefanowski, a Republican, both of whom won their respective primaries.
The debate will be televised live on WTNH News 8’s sister station, WCTX MyTV9, and streamed live on www.WTNH.com and www.theday.com. Viewers will be able to submit questions prior to the debate at www.wtnh.com.

News 8 Chief Political Correspondent Mark Davis, Day Editorial Page Editor Paul Choiniere and Day Deputy Managing Editor Izaskun Larrañeta will serve as the panelists for the debate, and WTNH news anchor Ann Nyberg as the moderator. Tickets for the debate will be available through each candidate’s respective party.
