Volunteers Henry Savin, left, and Bill LaRoue raise the "open" pennant over the entrance to the Custom House Maritime Museum on Bank Street in New London on Wednesday.  Savin, who is a new volunteer at the museum, joked of LaRoue, "he's the senior guy so he makes twice what I do."
