    Oh, the pranking you'll do.

That's generally the idea behind the popular "Impractical Jokers" television show, where the four comics in the The Tenderloins comedy troupe play japes on one another in front of a camera and for the general appreciation/occasional participation of unsuspecting citizens on the streets of New York City.

In live comedy gigs in performance venues, though, The Tenderloins — Joe Gatto, James Murray, Brian Quinn and Sal Vulcano — understandably work from a different template than the TV show. For example, they're traveling right now on their "The Cranjis McBasketball World Comedy Tour," with two shows each Friday and Saturday in the Grand Theater at Foxwoods. And rather than play jokes, the quartet's sets consist of traditional standup material, a lot of self-effacing ribbing betwixt themselves, never-before-seen hidden camera footage from "Impractical Jokers," career anecdotes and plenty of improvised interaction with audience members.

Impractical Jokers starring The Tenderloins, 7 and 9:55 p.m. Friday and 6 and 9 p.m. Saturday, Grand Theater, Foxwoods; $58-$80.75; 1-800-200-2882.
